Innocent Grey

Innocent Grey is a game brand specialized in publishing visual novels under the company Gungnir Ltd., which also has an auxiliary brand called Noesis. The company was formed in 2004 after spliting from Mithril.

Introduction

Innocent Grey is a Japanese visual novel maker. Like most other visual novel makers, their work tend to be for the 18+ crowd. Unlike most other visual novel makers, IG's games are known for their extremely violent and sometimes disturbing graphics and gruesome deaths of female casts.

Innocent Grey was formed in 2004, and their first game, Cartagra, was released in 2005. The game caught many gamer's attention with its story revolving around gruesome murders. Innocent Grey released its second game, Pianissimo, in 2006, but the game was not as popular as its predecessor due to its weak plot. After releasing a Cartagra fan disk called Nagomibako, Innocent Grey went on to release Kara no Shojo in 2008. With high-quality by Miki Sugina and story that takes place many years after the events of Cartagra, the game received much fanfare. A month before Kara no Shojo's release, the game was ranked sixth in Japan's national PC game pre-orders ranking. A new game titled Caucasus ~Nanatsuki no Nie~ was released in late November.

Over the years, Innocent Grey's games became known for their mystery/detective stories and gruesome deaths involving many, if not all, of the female casts.
